Interlagos in iRacing includes several variations that cater to different racing styles.
Grand Prix Circuit (4.309 km)
The full F1 layout, used for the Brazilian Grand Prix. This is the definitive Interlagos experience: Senna S battles, long straight overtakes, and strategic finales.
National Layout
A shortened version that removes part of the infield, keeping the Senna S and main straight sections intact. Ideal for touring cars and grassroots racing, it produces closer lap times and more wheel-to-wheel combat.
Moto GP Layout
Slightly modified for motorcycle racing, featuring adjusted runoff and cornering geometry. It remains a rare but unique option for sim events.
General Racing Characteristics
- Slipstreaming: The long Reta Oposta straight creates drafting duels lap after lap.
- Technical flow: The infield section requires rhythm and balanced setups.
- Tire wear: Anti-clockwise stress means setups must compensate for left-side tire fatigue.
- Spectacle: In official and hosted iRacing events, Interlagos almost always guarantees dramatic finishes.
Across all configs, Interlagos emphasizes the art of maximizing exits and defending under braking.
