Audi RS 3 LMS TCR Official Release

The Audi RS 3 LMS TCR joins iRacing’s touring car lineup.

The Audi RS 3 LMS TCR was introduced to iRacing in the 2017 Season 4 build (September 2017). This marked the first time FIA TCR-spec machinery joined the sim, giving iRacers the opportunity to experience the same front-wheel-drive touring cars competing in some of the world’s most popular national and international series.

Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four producing roughly 340 horsepower, the RS 3 LMS delivers strong straight-line speed and excellent cornering balance. Its front-wheel-drive layout and 6-speed sequential gearbox create a driving style very different from rear-wheel-drive GT machinery, emphasizing late braking, rotation under trail braking, and maintaining momentum through corners.

The RS 3 LMS quickly became a cornerstone of iRacing’s Touring Car Challenge series, offering ultra-close racing, heavy drafting battles, and plenty of door-to-door action. With its mix of performance, accessibility, and authenticity, it cemented iRacing as a destination for virtual touring car competition and opened the door for other TCR-spec cars to follow.
