The Hyundai Veloster N TCR made its iRacing debut in the 2019 Season 2 build (June 2019). As Hyundai’s first TCR entry in the sim, it brought the brand’s global touring car program to virtual life and expanded iRacing’s roster of FIA-homologated touring cars.
Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four producing roughly 340 horsepower, the Veloster N TCR uses a 6-speed sequential gearbox and front-wheel drive. Its design incorporates aggressive aerodynamics, including a wide body kit, large splitter, and prominent rear wing, all optimized for downforce and balance in tight pack racing.
As one of the earliest modern TCR cars in iRacing, the Veloster N TCR set the stage for the growth of the Touring Car Challenge. It was later joined by the Honda Civic Type R TCR, Hyundai Elantra CN7 TCR, and Audi RS 3 LMS TCR, giving drivers a diverse but balanced selection of front-wheel-drive touring machinery.
Known for its blend of stability, speed, and classic TCR elbows-out racing, the Veloster N TCR continues to be a fan-favorite in iRacing, delivering the same close-quarters competition that defines touring car racing worldwide.
