World Wide Technology Raceway, also known as Gateway, was released in iRacing to bring members a one-of-a-kind oval with a distinct shape and racing style. The 1.25-mile track near St. Louis has long hosted NASCAR Trucks, Xfinity, and IndyCar, and in 2022 it became a Cup Series venue.
Its arrival in iRacing added a technically demanding oval where each end of the track drives differently. Unlike symmetrical ovals, Gateway challenges drivers to balance setups and driving style across mismatched corners. The sim version lets racers experience the same braking points, tight entries, and long straights that make the track unique.
What makes it unique
- Length: 1/2 mile
- Surface: clay dirt
- Style: high-speed dirt oval
