Getting Around // Spa-Francorchamps

Spa-Francorchamps is a legendary track located in the Ardennes region of Belgium that is featured in iRacing, the popular online racing simulation platform. With its long straights, high-speed corners, and challenging elevation changes, Spa is known as one of the most demanding tracks in the world and is a true test of a driver’s skills.

In iRacing, the track has been faithfully reproduced to provide players with an authentic racing experience. From the famous Eau Rouge corner to the sweeping turns of the Kemmel Straight, iRacing’s version of Spa is a must-drive for any sim racing enthusiast. The track is also a popular choice for league racing and special events, providing plenty of opportunities for sim racers to put their skills to the test.

A LAP AROUND

A lap around Spa-Francorchamps in iRacing is a challenging and rewarding experience that requires precise driving skills and a well-balanced car setup to get the most out of it. Here is a detailed explanation of one lap around Spa:

As you approach the start/finish line, be sure to get a good launch and carry as much speed as possible down the long straight that leads into the first corner, La Source. This left-hand hairpin is a tight corner that requires a good exit to set you up for the long uphill climb to Eau Rouge. Be careful not to brake too late or you may run wide and lose valuable time.

As you crest the hill and approach Eau Rouge, be prepared for the sudden drop in elevation as you enter the corner. This famous corner is a series of three right-hand turns that can be taken in one fluid motion if you have a good car setup and the right line. Be sure to keep your speed up through the corner to set you up for the long straight that follows.
