The Dirt Track at Charlotte made its iRacing debut in 2017 Season 3, expanding the sim’s growing dirt oval content with one of the premier venues in the United States. Built just across the street from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, the real-world venue has hosted World of Outlaws, Lucas Oil Late Models, and other marquee dirt racing events since opening in 2000.
Its release gave iRacing members access to a modern, high-capacity dirt oval, with grandstands designed for tens of thousands of fans and a racing surface capable of producing side-by-side action. The track’s inclusion solidified iRacing’s push into dirt racing, alongside the launch of Dirt Late Models, Dirt Sprint Cars, and UMP Modifieds.
