Williams Grove Speedway in iRacing

Official Release article for Williams Grove Speedway in iRacing.

The Williams Grove Speedway was released in iRacing in 2017 Season 4, giving sim racers access to one of the most iconic dirt ovals in the United States. Located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Williams Grove has been in operation since 1939 and is deeply tied to the heritage of sprint car racing.

Its release in iRacing expanded the sim’s dirt oval catalog with a track that has hosted countless legendary drivers and continues to stand as a premier stop on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Known for its unique long straights and tight corners, Williams Grove presents a distinct driving challenge unlike most other dirt ovals.

What makes Williams Grove unique in iRacing

  • Historic prestige: Over 80 years of sprint car tradition.
  • Unique shape: Long straights and tight, narrow turns demand precision.
  • High-speed character: Drivers carry immense momentum into braking zones.
  • Prestigious events: Hosts the World of Outlaws National Open, one of sprint car racing’s crown jewels.
  • Authenticity: Laser-scanned to replicate every bump and contour of the real Grove.

Williams Grove’s addition to iRacing preserved a piece of dirt racing history, making it accessible to racers worldwide.
