The Fuji International Speedway officially arrives in iRacing on June 6, 2022, with the Season 3 build. Located at the base of Mount Fuji in Oyama, Japan, the circuit is one of Asia’s most important racing venues. Originally opened in 1965, Fuji has hosted Formula One, endurance classics, Super GT, and countless domestic series.
For iRacers, Fuji offers a uniquely Japanese motorsport experience: a high-speed front straight nearly a mile long, technical middle and final sectors, and the iconic Panasonic Corner leading onto the straight.
What makes Fuji unique in iRacing
- Longest straight in Japan: The main straight forces strategic drafting and slipstreaming battles.
- Multiple configurations: Grand Prix and No Chicane layouts provide variety.
- Flowing elevation changes: Subtle undulations add complexity to braking zones.
- Historic legacy: A home to endurance racing since the 1960s and the Japanese GP in 1976 and 1977.
- Modern upgrades: Redesigned by Hermann Tilke in the 2000s, it balances old-school and modern circuit philosophies.
The addition of Fuji gives iRacing members a chance to compete on one of Asia’s great motorsport stages, bringing global balance to its road racing lineup.
