Pocono Raceway was released in iRacing to bring one of NASCAR’s most unique ovals to the sim. Known as “The Tricky Triangle,” Pocono’s 2.5-mile layout features three distinct corners, each modeled after turns from other iconic circuits: Turn 1 after Trenton Speedway, Turn 2 (the Tunnel Turn) after Indianapolis, and Turn 3 after Milwaukee.
Its addition gave iRacing members the challenge of mastering a track that doesn’t fit into the mold of traditional ovals. With its long straights, flat corners, and technical demands, Pocono has become a staple for stock cars, IndyCar, and sports car racing alike.
What makes it unique
- Length: 2.5 miles / 4.02 km
- Shape: triangular oval
- Corners: each modeled after a different track
Pocono in iRacing delivers one of the most unique oval racing experiences.
