BMW M4 GT3 EVO: Upgrades Explained

The BMW M4 GT3 EVO represents a major evolution in its handling, responsiveness, and performance. Here are the key upgrades you’ll notice, plus what they mean on the track:

  • Free update for existing owners — everyone who already had the M4 GT3 gets EVO without extra charge.
  • Physics + Artist updates — updated artwork (lights, textures, body panels) and numerous under-the-skin changes.
  • Gear stack option (FIA gear stack) added, letting you select different gear sequences.
  • Differential changes: ramps reworked (more lock under power, less on coast), additional friction faces for more aggressive locking.
  • Suspension: front caster reduced; rear kinematics tweaked for more anti-lift and less anti-squat; anti-roll bars adjustable over a wider range; spring-rate range widened with more progression.
  • Ride height adjustments made more direct (no more messing with spring perches), bump rubbers and adjustable gaps added.
  • Steering is sharper — about 8% faster ratio.
  • KW dampers used, licensed/tuned based on BMW data.
  • New dashboards: a low-fuel warning indicator has been added to the dash. Sounds for engine and transmission upgraded for more realism.

In short: the EVO isn’t superficial. It gives more setup flexibility, sharper handling, and better driver feedback on what the car is doing. If you race the M4 GT3, you’ll feel these improvements immediately — but you’ll need fresh setups to get the most out of them.
