Rumor: Aston Martin Valkyrie GTP Coming to iRacing

The iRacing Aston Martin Valkyrie could be the next major addition to the sim’s growing prototype lineup. While not yet confirmed, community speculation points to Aston Martin’s stunning Valkyrie AMR-LMH entering development under iRacing’s ongoing partnership with the manufacturer.

This rumor began shortly after iRacing announced an expanded collaboration with Aston Martin in August. That deal included multiple cars across GT and prototype categories, sparking hopes that the brand’s halo endurance racer might soon appear in iRacing.

What Makes the Valkyrie Special

The Valkyrie AMR-LMH represents Aston Martin’s return to top-level endurance racing. Designed to compete in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA GTP class, it blends a naturally aspirated V12 engine with advanced hybrid technology and extreme aerodynamics.

If added to iRacing, the Valkyrie would stand alongside cars like the BMW M Hybrid V8, Porsche 963, and Cadillac V-Series.R. It would also be one of the first iRacing prototypes to combine hybrid power delivery with the new physics architecture designed for next-generation vehicles.

Why the Rumor Feels Plausible

The rumor gained traction because iRacing’s hybrid development roadmap aligns perfectly with the Valkyrie’s technology. The studio has already confirmed work on a hybrid system for INDYCAR, and engineers say that foundation can support other hybrid-based race cars in the future.

Fans also point to iRacing’s history of licensing manufacturer flagships once partnerships deepen — like BMW’s M Hybrid V8 and Porsche’s 963. With Aston Martin now part of that same high-tier collaboration, the Valkyrie seems like a natural evolution.

Still, as of September 2025, there’s no official confirmation. Developers have not commented on the car directly, and no in-sim assets or test builds have surfaced. For now, the iRacing Aston Martin Valkyrie remains an exciting but unverified rumor.

Community Reactions

The community response has been enthusiastic. Many players say the Valkyrie would fill an important gap in iRacing’s GTP field, adding another manufacturer to the growing class. Others caution that official confirmation could still be months away, since prototype development requires detailed CAD data and factory testing.

Still, most agree that the possibility alone is enough to generate major buzz ahead of iRacing’s December build announcements.

The potential arrival of the Aston Martin Valkyrie GTP highlights iRacing’s continued push toward complete representation of top-level endurance racing. If confirmed, it would give players access to one of the most advanced and visually stunning cars in the world. Whether this rumor becomes reality or not, it shows the level of anticipation around iRacing’s partnership with Aston Martin — and the direction the sim is heading in 2026.
