iRacing Rescans Several Tracks in 2025 Season 4

The 2025 Season 4 Release Build brings one of the most exciting updates for oval and road fans alike: a fresh wave of rescanned and fully remodeled tracks. iRacing’s team has gone back to the laser scanners and rebuilt four major venues from the ground up, ensuring that their digital counterparts match the current real-world layouts with pinpoint accuracy.

Charlotte Motor Speedway

Charlotte is more than just NASCAR’s backyard—it’s a hub for multiple racing disciplines. With a brand-new scan and total art overhaul, Charlotte now reflects its modern look with updated buildings, textures, 3D foliage, and scenery. Along with the visual updates, iRacing has introduced new layouts, including Roval 2025, Roval No Chicanes, and Legends RC 2025. Several outdated versions have been retired, making way for this modernized lineup.

North Wilkesboro Speedway

Historic meets modern at North Wilkesboro. The track has been rescanned and rebuilt from scratch with current-day data, delivering an authentic experience that matches the venue’s revival in the NASCAR world. The 1987 historic layout remains for those wanting a throwback, while the new version comes with night lighting, ready for modern short-track battles.

Sonoma Raceway

Sonoma’s rolling hills and technical corners have received a full rescan and rebuild. The track now features multiple new configurations, including Short, Sportscar, and Sportscar Alt layouts. With its updated artwork, surface modeling, and modernized configs, Sonoma is sharper and more accurate than ever. Legacy versions have been retired to reflect the most up-to-date racing surface.

World Wide Technology Raceway (Gateway)

Gateway has also been rescanned and remodeled from scratch, ensuring its oval matches the real-world surface and features. Like Sonoma and Charlotte, this update is part of the ongoing NASCAR Refresh Project, bringing every venue on the Cup calendar up to modern standards.

AI-Ready and Race-Ready

All four rescanned tracks have been fully retrained for AI racing, meaning competitors can take on both real and virtual opponents right away. With sharper visuals, updated rulesets, and modernized artwork, these tracks are ready to shine in league, official, and hosted competition.
