Fuji in iRacing offers two main configurations, both of which change how the lap flows:
1. Grand Prix Circuit (4.563 km / 2.835 miles)
- Full layout with all 16 corners.
- Emphasizes both straight-line speed and technical handling.
- Used for WEC and Super GT races.
2. No Chicane Layout
- Skips the tight chicane near the final sector.
- Creates a faster, more flowing rhythm that emphasizes momentum.
- Well-suited for sprint and open-wheel racing.
Racing Characteristics
- Slipstream battles: Drafting down the long straight defines nearly every race.
- Brake testing: Turn 1 and the Hairpin are the best overtaking spots.
- Setup trade-offs: High downforce helps in the technical sectors, but low drag is necessary for straight-line speed.
- Endurance racing identity: Fuji’s design ensures traffic management is a constant factor in WEC-style multi-class racing.
Fuji stands out in iRacing because of its versatility. It works equally well for prototypes, GTs, and open-wheel cars, making it a truly all-purpose circuit.
