Steven Wilson came from 17th on the starting grid to win the second race of the 2026 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Georgia on Tuesday night, claiming his 18th career series victory and moving into sole possession of fourth on the all-time wins list.

The race ran 104 laps and featured seven cautions after a caution-free opener at Charlotte two weeks ago, ending the series caution-free streak at 193 consecutive laps. Wilson, running for Spire Motorsports, spent most of the night working through traffic before breaking into the top 10 with 36 laps to go. He led his first lap with 19 remaining and ultimately took control on Lap 92, surviving an eNASCAR Overtime restart to hold on for the win.

Daniel Faulkingham of Rick Ware Racing finished second, just 0.078 seconds behind Wilson. Connor Yeroschak of Letarte Esports was third, Malik Ray of JR Motorsports fourth, and Zack Novak, also JR Motorsports, rounded out the top five. Race 1 winner Bobby Zalenski was caught up in an incident on Lap 33 and finished 22nd.

The win is Wilson’s third at EchoPark specifically, making him the most-winning driver at the track in series history. His previous win here came in 2023 by a margin of 0.015 seconds. After crossing the finish line, Wilson performed a small bow in tribute to NASCAR legend Kyle Busch, who passed away less than two weeks prior at age 41. Spire Motorsports, Wilson’s team, had carried tribute decals for Busch on their cars Tuesday night.

In the Playoff Standings, Wilson leads with 74 points and has clinched a Playoff spot with his win. Zalenski sits second in Playoff points at 55 despite his rough night. Spire Motorsports leads the Team Standings by five points over JR Motorsports after the double top-five result from Ray and Novak. Race 3 has been moved from Iowa Speedway to the new Qualcomm Circuit at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, where it will run on June 16.

The eNASCAR College iRacing Series powered by PlayVS College League is back for 2026-27 with its most ambitious season yet. iRacing revealed the complete schedule, an updated competition format, and a headline IMSA partnership at the Sim Racing Expo in Charlotte. Eight Tournaments are on the calendar, $60,000 in scholarships is on the line, and registration is open now.

The 2026-27 Season Schedule

The season splits into two semesters of four Tournaments each. Fall 2026 opens September 23rd at Echo Park Speedway in Atlanta. From there, the schedule moves to Charlotte, Watkins Glen, and Michigan. Then, in spring 2027, the series picks up at Dover, Daytona, Daytona Road Course, and Homestead-Miami. In total, six of the eight Tournaments use the NASCAR Trucks, while the remaining two introduce the Ford Mustang GT4 through an IMSA partnership.

Tournament

Track

Vehicle

Week 1

Peachtree Pursuit

Echo Park (Atlanta)

Trucks

09/23/26

Queen City Crown

Charlotte

Trucks

10/07/26

Big Apple Battle

Watkins Glen

IMSA GT4

10/28/26

Great Lakes Gauntlet

Michigan

Trucks

11/11/26

Monster Mash

Dover

Trucks

01/27/27

Clash on the Beach

Daytona (oval)

Trucks

02/10/27

Ocean’s Roar

Daytona Road Course

IMSA GT4

02/24/27

Sunset Splash

Homestead-Miami

Trucks

03/24/27

IMSA Joins the College Series

The headline addition for 2026-27 is IMSA. The International Motor Sports Association backs two Tournaments this season. Specifically, at Watkins Glen and Daytona Road Course, students race the Ford Mustang GT4 in the same team liveries used throughout the Trucks season. IMSA President John Doonan said the partnership “opens the door to a whole new audience” and should bring new fans to sports car racing through collegiate competition.

The Ford Mustang GT4 joins the College Series for the first time, competing at Watkins Glen and Daytona.

Format Changes for 2026-27

The competition format also gets a meaningful overhaul this year. First, Tournament entry sizes grow to 100 students. Additionally, the Time Attack window tightens from 10 days to six, running Tuesday through Sunday before Quarterfinals. Semifinal finishes now earn points for the first time: positions one through ten pick up 10 down to one point. However, those points are voided if the student skips the Final Round. Finally, in the Final, the winner earns 55 points instead of 40, reflecting the series’ emphasis on winning. All other point values remain unchanged.

Overall, the 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series kicks off September 23rd at Echo Park Speedway in Atlanta. Eligible students can register for the season now through the official form.

Bobby Zalenski opened the 2026 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series the same way he has opened every season in his career: with a win. The ERA eSports driver led 65 of 160 caution-free laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday night, claimed his 19th career series victory, and extended the most durable winning streak in the series to ten consecutive seasons.

Also See
➡️ eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Coverage on iRacerHub
🎮 Watch eNASCAR live at eNASCAR.com

Charlotte has historically suited ERA eSports well. The team’s pit communication and oval execution tend to show up in longer strategy races, and Tuesday followed that pattern. Zalenski started from the pole and shared early laps with Tucker Minter, his ERA teammate, and rookie Logan Helton, who ran to the front early and led 23 laps in an eye-catching debut performance. Seven drivers led laps across the 160-lap distance as strategy rotated the order through two pit cycles.

The decisive moment came in the final pit window. Defending champion Steven Wilson gambled on right-side tires only and took on minimal fuel, betting fresh rubber would close the gap faster than a full stop would allow. The call worked for pace. Wilson charged hard through the field and was within range in the closing laps. But Zalenski had already handled the only obstacle between him and the win. With 18 laps remaining, he cleared Minter in clean racing and opened a gap to the finish. Wilson could not get close enough to challenge. He ran out of fuel on the final lap and coasted to third as Christopher Hill of William Byron eSports swept past for second, tying his career-best finish.

Minter finished fourth after leading laps earlier in the race. Wyatt Tinsley, returning to the series after a year away from the grid, held on for fifth. ERA eSports leads the early team standings by a single point over William Byron eSports after a clean night from both organizations.

The win puts Zalenski at 19 career victories in the series, one behind Nick Ottinger’s all-time record of 20. Ryan Luza and Wilson both sit at 17. What remains missing is the championship. Zalenski has made the Playoffs in each of his ten seasons and has never won the title. He leads both the overall and Segment 1 standings after the opener, and if he finishes in the top 20 in points through the regular season, he will make the Playoffs for the tenth consecutive time. The question that has followed him throughout his career is whether 2026 is finally the year he converts consistent performance into a championship. His car speed and ERA’s execution are not going to be the limiting factor.

The race ran all 160 laps without a caution. All 40 starters finished, 33 on the lead lap. Sebastian Marin led the nine-driver rookie class in 14th. Race 2 goes to Echo Park Speedway on Tuesday, June 2, with live coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET on eNASCAR.com/live.

Quentin Warman’s eNASCAR Qualifying Series 2026 title run is complete. Warman won Round 10 at Michigan International Speedway on April 22. He surged ahead of Matthew Morton off the top lane on a final overtime restart to take the race win and the championship together.

Also See
eNASCAR Coverage on iRacerHub
Official iRacing Race Report

Title Clinched, Texas is a Bubble Watch

Warman had led the eNASCAR Qualifying Series standings all season without a win. However, Michigan changed that in the best possible way. The 2026 championship margin now stands at 465 points. Because the maximum payout at the Texas finale is roughly 450 points, the title is mathematically settled regardless of what happens in Round 11.

As a result, Warman heads into the Texas finale with his Free Agency slot already guaranteed. Morton joins him near the top of the locked list, along with at least two other drivers based on current standings. Meanwhile, the attention shifts to the broader bubble. Not everyone in the top 30 is safe yet, and several Free Agency spots further down the standings remain very much in play.

Therefore, Round 11 at Texas still carries significant stakes even with the title decided. The pre-race show starts at 7:45 PM ET on April 28, with green flag action at 8 PM ET. If you are tracking Free Agency contenders in the eNASCAR Qualifying Series, Texas is the race to watch.

The eNASCAR College iRacing Series is a tournament where teams of college students represent their universities. They compete in NASCAR sim racing events on the iRacing platform. The format features multiple qualifying rounds that lead to a championship bracket.

NASCAR officially sanctions the series, which has been running for several seasons now. As a result, it serves as both a competitive esports outlet and a talent pipeline. Schools that perform well gain visibility within the broader eNASCAR ecosystem. Meanwhile, standout drivers can catch the attention of professional teams.

Previous seasons featured schools like UNC Charlotte and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In addition, several other institutions with strong motorsports programs have fielded competitive teams. The competition level has risen each year as more schools invest in sim racing.

What to Expect in 2026-27

The 2026-27 season will follow a similar format to previous years. Teams compete through qualifying rounds before advancing to elimination brackets. However, specific race dates and track schedules have not been confirmed yet. Schools interested in fielding a team can find details through official eNASCAR channels.

This announcement shows continued commitment from both NASCAR and iRacing to collegiate esports. Consequently, sim racing on college campuses keeps gaining momentum. The College iRacing Series gives students a structured competitive path that mirrors real racing development.

For college students who take their iRacing seriously, the eNASCAR College iRacing Series is the most direct path to organized competition. Therefore, if your school does not have a team yet, this might be the year to start one. Keep an eye on official announcements for the full 2026-27 schedule.

Quami Scott had all but written himself out of the 2026 eNASCAR Qualifying Series. Three races before Chicagoland, he sat 108th in the standings. Then things started moving.

A podium at Bristol moved him to 69th. Then came Tuesday night at Chicagoland Speedway, where a fuel-save strategy earned Scott his first Top Split victory of the 2026 season. He is now 45th with two races remaining, still 183 points short of the cut, but back in the conversation.

Round 9 was also a milestone in the 2026 QS schedule. The first eight races split evenly between NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series cars and the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series machines. Chicagoland was the first of two Cup Series Gen 7 car races, the same car used for the entire Championship Series season. That makes Michigan and Texas especially relevant, because drivers who make the cut will race this hardware all year.

The race came down to fuel management in the closing laps. Scott nursed his tank, backing off where others stayed flat, and coasted home with just enough left. “I was clutching from the start of that run just to make sure we made it,” Scott explained after the race. “Even when I was good, I was still clutching. I finally just went. We kept the tires on it, too. It just played right into our favor.”

eNASCAR Qualifying Series Chicagoland: Points and Playoff Implications

Dylan Basen won Second Split. In Third Split, Rajah Caruth claimed his second victory of the 2026 QS season, running part-time alongside his O’Reilly Auto Parts Series schedule. Real-world crossover talent was in the mix throughout the event. Craftsman Truck Series regular Kaden Honeycutt finished 18th in Top Split, and Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar came home 17th in Split 2.

The win does not solve Scott’s math problem, it just buys more time to solve it. He is still 183 points outside the top 30 with only two races left. He has been here before, though, and he knows how to handle the pressure. “I’m not trying to do this on purpose,” Scott said. “Every year, I’m in a tight points battle, and it’s stressful. It’s not my plan at all, but here we are again. Just going to have to do it again.”

Round 10 heads to Michigan International Speedway on Tuesday, April 21. Coverage starts at 7:45 p.m. ET at eNASCAR.com/live. At two miles with high-speed drafting and wide racing lanes, Michigan will shake up the standings again. For Scott and everyone still chasing the cut, there is no room left for a quiet result.

Wyatt Tinsley won the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Qualifying Series Round 8 at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 7, pulling off a late pit strategy gamble that held off Eddie Kerner for the victory. The race was clean throughout, running under green-flag conditions from start to finish. This was the fourth and final round using the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series cars (the B car) before the Qualifying Series transitions to Cup cars.

Official Race Preview: QS Round 8 at Bristol

Tinsley started second and worked the high line at Bristol to stay within striking distance of the leaders through the early portion of the race. The strategy call came late, when Tinsley pitted at a different window than most of the field. That gamble paid off, putting him in clean air with fresher tires for the final run to the checkered flag.

Kerner ran a strong race throughout and looked like a contender for the win. However, Tinsley’s tire advantage in the closing laps proved to be the difference. The gap was never large, but Tinsley managed it well enough to bring home the victory without any serious late-race pressure.

Bristol is always one of the more demanding tracks on the QS calendar. The half-mile oval with its steep banking rewards precision and patience. A clean green-flag race at Bristol is relatively rare, which made tire management and pit strategy even more critical than usual.

Series Transitions to Cup Cars

Round 8 marked the end of the B car portion of the 2026 eNASCAR Qualifying Series. The first four rounds used the B cars, and now the series shifts to Cup cars for the remaining rounds. This transition changes the dynamic significantly, since the Cup cars drive differently and require a different approach to setup and racecraft.

The standings will carry over, so the points earned in the B car rounds still matter. Drivers who performed well through the first eight rounds have a cushion heading into the Cup portion. Those who struggled will need strong results on the bigger cars to climb back into contention for a spot in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.

Tinsley’s Bristol win caps off a competitive B car phase for the 2026 Qualifying Series. The shift to Cup cars will shake up the field and could reshuffle the standings as drivers adapt to new machinery. The next round will test who can carry their momentum forward and who needs to reset.

Kenny Brady turned a second straight eNASCAR Overtime win into the Round 7 result at Darlington, completing a comeback that started with two laps to go. Brady, driving for Vegas Inferno, spent most of the March 31 race in the background while Adam Garza, Quentin Warman, and Andrew Navarro swapped the lead up front.

The overtime restart gave Brady the kind of opportunity he has now converted twice. He led only the final two laps, which was enough, mirroring his Round 6 win at Auto Club where he also charged through the field late and took the victory.

With seven of eleven qualifying rounds complete, the Darlington result carries real weight. The series uses results across the season to determine who earns a Championship Series seat, and two wins in three rounds pushes Brady firmly into that conversation at the midpoint.

Garza, Warman, and Navarro controlled the pace for most of the night but left Darlington without points. The eNASCAR Qualifying Series rewards finishing position above consistency, and the overtime restart reshuffled the outcome in a way only iRacing’s late-race format can.

Four rounds remain in the 2026 eNASCAR Qualifying Series. The championship picture sharpens quickly from here.

The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series is entering a historic 2026 chapter with a massive format overhaul. Following Steven Wilson’s record-breaking 2025 title run, the series has moved to a streamlined, linear structure. The traditional “Road to Pro” ladder is gone. In its place, the new eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Qualifying Series serves as the exclusive gateway for all aspiring pros.

The iRacing Qualifying Series: A Unified Path to Pro

Starting February 10th at Daytona, the Qualifying Series provides the only road into the top division. This 11-race sprint is open to any iRacing member holding an A-Class Oval license. You must also maintain at least a 2.0 Safety Rating.

The series utilizes a unique progression across three distinct vehicle segments:

Segment 1 (Races 1-4): NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Segment 2 (Races 5-8): NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Segment 3 (Races 9-11): NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen machines.

All races take place on Tuesday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET. Splits are determined by iRating, and a single drop race is factored into the final standings.

Free Agency and the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Pool

Once the qualifying rounds end in April, the focus shifts to Free Agency. A total of 52 elite drivers will enter the selection pool from May 11–13, 2026. This pool includes:

The top 30 point scorers from the 2026 Qualifying Series.

The top 20 drivers from the 2025 Championship standings.

The top two drivers from the 2024-25 eNASCAR College iRacing Series.

Official teams will select 40 drivers from this pool to compete for the Dale Earnhardt Jr Cup. Because the format is now linear, the entire process takes place within a single calendar year.

The 2026 Championship Series Schedule

The Championship Series officially kicks off on May 19th at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This 13-race season features three distinct segments and a “Win and You’re In” playoff format. The season culminates in a live finale at the NASCAR Hall of Fame on October 13th.

The general sentiment is positive regarding this change. By moving the qualifying process into the same year, iRacing has made the path easier to follow. No longer do drivers have to balance overlapping rounds. This shift brings a professional structure that rewards consistency across the entire 2026 calendar.
