The Hyundai Elantra CN7 TCR was introduced to iRacing in the 2021 Season 1 build (December 8, 2020). Joining the Audi RS 3 LMS and Honda Civic Type R, the Elantra expanded iRacing’s FIA TCR touring car lineup, giving sim racers another competitive option in the Touring Car Challenge.
Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four producing roughly 340 horsepower, the Elantra CN7 is paired with a 6-speed sequential gearbox and front-wheel drive. It also incorporates aggressive aerodynamic features and a well-balanced chassis, making it both stable and responsive across a variety of track types.
The addition of the Elantra marked Hyundai’s growing presence in both real-world touring car competition and esports. With its blend of speed, stability, and strong braking, the Elantra CN7 TCR quickly became a favorite among iRacers, delivering the same kind of elbows-out racing action that defines TCR worldwide.
Its arrival further cemented iRacing as a home for authentic FIA TCR-spec racing, giving drivers the chance to experience the same front-wheel-drive touring cars competing in championships across the globe.
