Phoenix Raceway was introduced to iRacing to provide members with one of NASCAR’s most unique ovals. Known for its desert setting and distinctive dogleg, Phoenix has been a Cup Series staple since 1988 and serves as the host of NASCAR’s Championship Weekend.
The track’s arrival in iRacing gave sim racers the opportunity to experience its flat corners, tricky braking zones, and the iconic dogleg section that often produces daring cut-across moves. Over time, iRacing has updated Phoenix to reflect renovations, most notably the reconfiguration in 2018 that relocated the start/finish line to just past the dogleg.
Its addition was more than just another oval—it introduced a track where strategy, restarts, and bravery in the dogleg decide races.
