Virginia International Raceway (VIR) has long been part of iRacing, originally appearing in the early years of the sim. On December 20, 2022, it was completely rebuilt from scratch and re-released with the 2023 Season 1 build, using brand-new 2022 laser scan data.
The refreshed VIR includes all five configurations—Full, Grand, North, South, and Patriot—along with updated textures, trackside detail, and PBR graphics. The re-release retired the legacy version, ensuring members have the most accurate and immersive VIR experience to date.
