One hundred college sim racers rolled into Charlotte Motor Speedway for Week 1 of the Queen City Crown. Forty are moving on.
The Queen City Crown is the second tournament of the 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series, and Week 1 delivered exactly the kind of chaos you’d expect from a 100-driver quarterfinal. When the dust settled, two semifinal winners stood out:
- Group 1: Jacob Wilkerson (Tarrant County College District)
- Group 2: Brian Mercurio (DeSales University)
Both bank 10 points heading into the final round. And here’s what’s new this season: Week 1 semifinal finishes now count toward the School Championship standings. That’s a big deal for programs stacking their rosters.
Speaking of stacked rosters, UNC Charlotte is the team to beat. They lead the School Championship and they’re sending six drivers to the Final Round, more than any other school. Home track advantage is real.
The Final Round goes down Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. ET, streaming live at eNASCAR.com/live. Forty trucks, 100 laps, one winner taking home $3,000 and a big step toward the $10,000 spring championship prize.
If you missed the earlier rounds, don’t worry about catching up on the old preview posts. This is the current state of play, and the final is where it counts.
