Single Car Qualifying: Kevin Bobbitt posted, “We are aware of the multi-class drafting complaints and are working on adjusting how the 0X and 2X contacts affect qualifying laps. Nothing will be done in time for the season rollover tonight (and the start of qualifying for this event) however. Because something could possibly change after qualifying starts we have decided to change the qualifying session to be single car qualifiers. This obviously eliminates any potential drafting – same class or different class – so it is not the perfect solution but we think it is the best solution for now.”

iRacing.com Daytona 2.4: iRacing.com will host the 2.4 at Daytona later this week. This year the race will include the new McLaren MP4-12C GT3 in addition to the Riley Daytona Prototype. Two race sessions will be held, the first on Friday night at 9pm EST and then on Saturday at 2:00pm EST. Qualifying times will set the splits for the 2.4 at Daytona. Qualifying and practice sessions will kick off on Tuesday and run all week until the start of the week.
