Richmond Raceway was released in iRacing to give sim racers access to one of NASCAR’s most beloved short tracks. Known as “America’s Premier Short Track,” Richmond is a 0.75-mile D-shaped oval that blends short-track intensity with intermediate-style speed.
Its addition brought a fan-favorite circuit into the sim, offering members the chance to battle on a track famous for its side-by-side action, multiple grooves, and dramatic night races. Over the years, iRacing has updated Richmond to reflect its evolving real-world configuration, ensuring the sim version continues to match the Cup Series’ regular visits to the Virginia track.
