The penultimate race at Sachsenring takes place on Thursday, September 10. The Sachsenring is a compact circuit in eastern Germany with flowing elevation changes throughout its layout, particularly in the technical infield section. It has hosted MotoGP for decades and presents an interesting challenge for GT3 machinery given its tight corners and varied rhythm. The season finale at Hockenheimring arrives on October 8, closing the year at one of the most recognized circuits in motorsport. The Hockenheimring combines a high-speed stadium section with a demanding infield complex where braking points and exit speed separate consistent laps from the field.
What to Expect at the Start Line
Each round of the iRacing DTM Series runs for 55 minutes with a mandatory pit stop, so fuel load and tire strategy factor into results alongside outright pace. The race lobby opens globally at 8:00 PM Central European Time, which puts the start at 7:00 PM UK time, 2:00 PM Eastern, and 11:00 AM Pacific. Australian drivers can join at 5:00 AM AEST the following morning. All regional entries land in the same race session and compete against a global field. There are no regional splits, so field size and competition level are consistent regardless of where a driver connects from.
How to Enter
No special license is required to enter the iRacing DTM Series, and there is no invitation process. Open the iRacing member site, navigate to the Series page, and search for DTM. The series appears under official sanctioned races and accepts registrations in the days leading up to each scheduled race. An active iRacing membership at any subscription tier covers the race entry itself. The GT3 car models used each round must be owned or rented separately through the iRacing store, but any eligible GT3 car in the iRacing library qualifies for the field.
