The iRacing Ram NASCAR return is the biggest topic in the sim racing community right now. With the real world 2026 NASCAR season starting soon, fans are eager to see the Ram 1500 in the Craftsman Truck Series. For us at iRacerhub, the main focus is when we get to turn virtual laps in this new body style.
The timing for this release could not be more perfect. The real life Ram 1500 makes its competitive debut on February 13 at Daytona. Tony Stewart will be behind the wheel of the Kaulig Racing No. 25 truck. Given iRacing’s history of day and date releases for major NASCAR milestones, there is strong speculation that we will see the truck during the 2026 Season 1 Daytona Week build.

The Advantage of a Visual Build
One major reason for optimism regarding an early iRacing Ram NASCAR return is how the sim handles the Truck Series. Unlike GT3 or IMSA cars where every manufacturer has unique engine and handling characteristics, NASCAR trucks use a standardized physics model.
This means iRacing does not need to spend months on a dyno or track testing a new chassis. The heavy lifting for the developers is purely digital. They need to model the aggressive lines of the new Ram 1500 and build the specific cockpit layout.
Licensing the Ram 1500
While the physics are ready, the release hinges on the legal side. Stellantis must give the green light for the Ram branding to appear in the sim. With the massive marketing push behind their return to the sport, it would be a missed opportunity to skip the largest sim racing platform. They want their truck in the hands of thousands of racers during the peak of the Daytona hype.

If our speculation holds true, expect a mid-season patch just before the Daytona 500. This would allow iRacing to capitalize on the surge of players returning for the biggest race of the year. Whether you are a die-hard Mopar fan or just looking for a fresh look for your Class C Fixed races, the Ram is about to shake up the service.
