For the first time in its eight-year history, the Porsche Esports Supercup 2026 season opens a door into real-world motorsport. Porsche Motorsport has revamped the season with a structured pathway. It takes top sim racing talent from iRacing all the way to a real Porsche one-make cup. The Global Open Qualifier kicks things off on May 13 and runs through June 6. If you have been waiting for a reason to take your iRacing seriously, this is it.

How the Season Works
The series runs a three-stage format. Qualification is open in two ways. Drivers can qualify through national championships in Porsche markets, including the Carrera Cup Great Britain, Carrera Cup North America, and Endurance Trophy Nurburgring. They can also enter the open global qualifier, where drivers are ranked by region. Up to 32 drivers per region advance to the Regional Championships.
The Road to the World Championship
From the Regional Championships, four regional fields race five times each between June 27 and August 29. Eight spots per region then feed into the World Championship. The 32 finalists race five more times between September 19 and October 24. Circuits include Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone, Suzuka, Interlagos, and Monza.
The Prize: A Real Racing Seat
Total prize money is $30,000, with $10,000 going to the champion. The biggest prize, however, is not the money. Based on World Championship results, up to five drivers will be invited to a Talent Shoot-Out at the Porsche Esports Performance Center in Cologne. The best performers get time behind the wheel of a real car on track. From there, Porsche Motorsport will support one selected driver in entering a Porsche one-make cup in the real world.
Proof It Works: Joshua Rogers
Joshua Rogers already shows this pathway is not theoretical. The Australian is a Porsche factory esports driver. He recently made his real-world debut at the Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain. He raced a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the RS Pro category, finishing second once and third twice across three 20-minute races. Because of performances like his, Porsche is confident enough to formalize the bridge between virtual and real motorsport.
How to Enter
All Regional Championship and World Championship races will broadcast live on Porsche’s Twitch channel, with the first stream on June 27. Full qualification regulations are available through the iRacing platform. The 2026 Porsche Esports Supercup is open to any iRacer who wants to enter. The Global Open Qualifier starts May 13.
