iRacing Announces Ford Mustang GT4 Is Coming

Unveiled in the summer of 2023 for competition beginning in 2024, the Ford Mustang GT4 was officially announced by iRacing and Ford/Multimatic to join the GT4 class.

Some of the announcement’s key points included:

  • Ford and Multimatic Motorsport collaborated on the car, with Ford Performance (in Michigan) supplying a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V8.
  • The vehicle would include modern racing features such as DSSV dampers, natural fiber body panels, and a GT4-specific aero package.
  • iRacing committed to making the Mustang GT4 available for purchase in the vehicle garage, usable across road/rain/GT4 content.
