Week 13 works the same way every season. Official points series go quiet, and iRacing opens a rotating set of unofficial events to fill the gap. Safety rating and iRating still apply normally. However, there are no championship points on the line. The format constraints come off entirely. As a result, formula cars mix class lines, and road racing machinery runs on ovals. The Week 13 fun series is where iRacing tests the formats that would not fit anywhere else.
The Week 13 Fun Series Returning This Year
Battle of the Little Wings has been one of Week 13’s most popular events since its debut. The FIA F4, Super Formula Lights, and Skip Barber Formula 2000 share the grid on shorter track layouts. Both class positions and overall positions count.
The cars are genuinely fun in close quarters. Additionally, the mixed-class element keeps the whole field competitive from front to back. If you have never tried lower-formula content, this series is the easiest way in.
Ridiculousness does exactly what its name suggests. IMSA WeatherTech-spec prototypes and GT3 cars race together on ovals: Bristol, Dover, and Milwaukee this season. Multi-class road racing machinery in oval traffic was not supposed to work. After several seasons of this series proving otherwise, that argument is settled.
Six New Formats Added to Week 13 This Season
iRacing added six formats to the Week 13 fun series this year that have not run before. Each is built around a different experiment.
The Doctor's Office is the multi-class road racing entry of the group. The grid runs the Dallara P217, Ligier JS P320, and Ferrari 296 Challenge together on iconic road courses. Because the three cars differ in speed and downforce, the class racing stays competitive across the full field.
To The Streets focuses on street circuit precision. Season 1 uses the Dallara IL-15, and future seasons rotate to different cars. Street circuits punish mistakes harder than most track types, so the series rewards clean, disciplined driving above all else.
Manufacturer Madness is an all-Ford affair for its first season. Ford stock cars, GT cars, and sports cars run together on American road and street circuits. Future seasons bring different manufacturers into the mix. For now, Ford takes the spotlight.
Incident Limit Challenge is the strictest format in the Week 13 lineup. Every single incident point triggers a mandatory drive-through penalty with no exceptions.
The Toyota GR86 runs at Lime Rock Park's chicanes layout. One wall tap or track excursion ends your clean run immediately. If you value clean lap discipline, this series is a genuine test of it.
Storm Chasers puts the BMW M2 Racing at Oulton Park's International layout for 15-minute wet-weather sprints. iRacing's wet physics have been developing steadily. This series puts them at the center rather than treating rain as a novelty.
Free for All rounds out the lineup with a rotating license level and car selection each Week 13. This season opens with the FIA Cross Car, Pro 2 Lite, and Volkswagen Beetle Lite on dirt road courses. The specific combination changes each year. So what is running right now will not come around in exactly the same shape again.
All eight series are live today. Season 4 arrives in a few days. That means the iRacing Week 13 fun series window for 2026 is already closing. However you choose to use the gap between seasons, the options this year are the most varied yet.
