eNASCAR Coronado Race Recap: How the Night Played Out
Race 3 of the 2026 season used a two-segment format built for the street circuit debut. The Sprint covered ten laps with the top-eight qualifiers inverted at the start, putting the slower half of the top group at the front and forcing the fastest cars to work through traffic. The Feature then ran twenty laps for the full championship payout. Together, the two segments offered up to 48 championship points. Zalenski converted both opportunities and closed the gap significantly in the title fight.
The Qualcomm Circuit at Naval Base Coronado
The Qualcomm Circuit is the first eNASCAR venue built on a military installation. iRacing co-designed the 3.4-mile, 16-turn street course with NASCAR as part of a Navy partnership. The real-world NASCAR Cup Series also races on the Coronado circuit later this same week, making it one of only a handful of tracks shared between eNASCAR and the physical Cup schedule. The circuit winds through the base with an aircraft carrier visible from one of the track’s signature corners. Several teams ran military-themed paint schemes for the Coronado event. ERA eSports Team fielded their Navy Exchange scheme on both the No. 22 Zalenski car and the No. 34 Cosey Jr. entry. Jim Beaver eSports ran military-inspired liveries on the No. 5 Stewart and No. 15 Keister cars. Meanwhile, Logan Helton ran a Blue Angels scheme on the eRacr No. 42, one of the most visually striking cars in the field all night.
The ERA connection to the Navy runs deeper than paint. ERA eSports Team owner Jesse Iwuji is a US Navy officer. The Navy Exchange sponsorship on his cars at Coronado is a natural fit. Furthermore, Zalenski delivering a win on that night makes it a result ERA will not forget quickly.
Results and Championship Standings After Coronado
Daniel Faulkingham ran a clean race for Rick Ware Racing to take a top-ten finish in the No. 55 car, a strong result for the team at a street circuit debut. Not every driver had a clean night. Garrett Manes dealt with significant damage during the event, losing what could have been a solid points-scoring run.
Heading into Coronado, Steven Wilson led the championship with 74 points after his Atlanta win in Race 2. Zalenski sat second at 55. A race win at Coronado, combined with Sprint points, moves Zalenski significantly toward Wilson in the standings. With ten races still remaining in the 13-race 2026 season, the championship picture is far from settled. Zalenski is now firmly in title contention after taking two wins from the first three rounds.
