The iRacing Arcade Caterham 7 is on its way as the game’s first free content update. Developer Original Fire Games confirmed the addition last week after players called for a bigger car roster. The lightweight British sports car, famous for its Lotus lineage, will arrive as a free download soon.
iRacing Arcade hit Steam on March 3 with a cartoon-styled, physics-lite take on racing. Early reception praised the driving mechanics, but players wanted more vehicles. Original Fire Games heard the feedback and confirmed the game “was built as a foundation” for ongoing expansion.
A smart first pick
The Caterham Seven makes a lot of sense as the first new car. The real thing weighs next to nothing and exists purely to be fun to drive. That fits the spirit of Arcade perfectly. The preview render shows the iRacing Arcade Caterham 7 model looking faithful to the Seven’s shape. You can spot the exposed wheels, roll bar, and that classic front-end profile.
Original Fire Games also confirmed more free cars and tracks in the pipeline. The console release, planned for later in 2026, will bring additional free content. No firm dates exist for the Caterham update or console launch yet. The studio says both are coming “in the near future.”
At $4.99 on Steam, a steady stream of free updates is a good sign. If Original Fire keeps building out the car and track list, iRacing Arcade could carve out a nice spot as a casual entry point to the iRacing ecosystem.
