iRacing released the official launch video for the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, and it’s nearly three minutes of the brand-new street circuit in full detail. The video covers the track from multiple angles, showing off the tight corners, long straights, and the waterfront setting that makes this circuit unique. If you wanted a first look at how St. Pete translates to the sim, this delivers.
A Brand-New Street Circuit
St. Petersburg Grand Prix is the first new street circuit added to iRacing in the 2026 Season 2 build. The 1.8-mile, 14-turn layout runs through downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. It features sections along 1st Street SW and Bayshore Drive SE. Additionally, a runway at Albert Whitted Airport serves as the start-finish straight. The track joins the sim fresh off hosting both the INDYCAR season opener and a historic first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.
What the Video Shows
The launch video highlights the track’s signature features. Specifically, the tight Turn 1 chicane stands out as a likely incident hotspot. Furthermore, the technical Turns 4 through 9 section requires precise braking and smooth steering inputs. Meanwhile, the long straights create genuine overtaking opportunities. The waterfront backdrop and downtown buildings add visual character that sets this circuit apart from anything else in iRacing.
Available Now
The St. Petersburg Grand Prix is available now in the iRacing store. Consequently, you can already run it in official series, hosted sessions, and AI racing. The track supports multiple car classes, from IndyCar to GT machinery. As a result, expect to see it on numerous series schedules throughout Season 2.
