The 2026 eNASCAR playoffs are set. Ten drivers head to Michigan on Tuesday, September 1 for the start of a three-race elimination bracket. Bobby Zalenski earned the No. 1 seed with three regular-season wins for ERA eSports Team. Meanwhile, two-time defending champion Steven Wilson slots in second for Spire Motorsports. Both sit at 2,015 playoff points, and Zalenski holds the top seed by win total on tiebreaker. The green flag falls at 8 p.m. ET at Michigan International Speedway. Five drivers advanced on race wins; the other five made it on regular-season points. Meanwhile, Zack Novak missed the field by just three points. Garrett Manes won the Daytona season finale but ranked 20th in the standings, making him ineligible under the top-10 cutoff.
2026 eNASCAR Playoffs: The Storylines to Watch
Zalenski enters as the clear title favorite. He leads all active drivers with 21 career series wins, but the championship has eluded him. Six times he reached the Championship 4. Six times someone else claimed the Dale Earnhardt Jr. Cup. This season he opened Charlotte with a win and then pulled a triple-overtime victory at Nashville. So Michigan becomes his seventh shot at finally closing one of these seasons the right way.
Wilson approaches from the opposite direction. He already holds two championships, and a third would place him in exclusive company as a three-time series champion. Additionally, he averaged a 2.67 finish at Texas in previous playoff appearances. Because the bracket runs Michigan, Texas, then Kansas, Wilson’s Texas strength gives him a real advantage when the middle race arrives.
Parker White, the 2024 champion, arrives after a strong regular season that included a dominant run at Indianapolis. Shawn Conklin is a genuine rookie in his first full Championship Series season. He earned his spot by finishing third at Nashville and running consistently enough to qualify on points. Furthermore, Wyatt Tinsley sat out all of 2025 without a ride. He returned this year with Kansas City Pioneers and made the playoffs on his comeback. Tucker Minter also collected the second-most regular-season points in the field despite going winless. That kind of consistency is exactly what survives elimination rounds.
Three Tracks, Three Races, One Shot at the Championship
The playoff round covers Michigan, Texas, and Kansas. After those races conclude, the lowest-finishing playoff drivers face elimination. The survivors then advance to the Championship 4 in October. The series champion there earns $100,000 and the Dale Earnhardt Jr. Cup, part of a total $500,000 purse.
Michigan’s high-banking oval tends to compress the field. Pack racing at this track can help lower seeds overcome a points deficit with a surprise result. Because of that, the shape of the Michigan race could rearrange the standings before the field even gets to Texas.
Because this is a pure elimination format, Tuesday’s race carries real stakes from the first lap. Drivers sitting at 2,000 playoff points with no bonus points have zero cushion. Therefore, none of the bottom seeds can afford a quiet race at the opener.
